Police in Gatehouse of Fleet are appealing to the community to help identify those responsible for an act of vandalism to the public toilets in the town.
Constable Courtney Richards said “Between 6:30am on Saturday 7th and 6:30am on Sunday 8th April 2018, the toilet block has been damaged and a fire started within. Although the fire has burnt itself out, extensive smoke damage has been caused to the toilet block and they have had to be closed.
It seems very sad that anyone would carry out such a wanton and dangerous act of vandalism. If you used the toilets on Saturday 7th or can assist police with the investigation then please contact Police on 101.
