Police Investigate Fire That Caused £300,000 Worth Of Damage

At 01:55 AM on Saturday 17th August 2019, police officers discovered a building on fire within Heathhall Industrial estate in Dumfries. The officers alerted the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service who attended the scene.

The fire subsequently spread to the adjacent premises and extensively damaged both, resulting in over £300,000 worth of damage.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined and a fire investigation will take place in due course. In the meantime, Police Scotland are asking anyone who was in the area shortly before 2 AM on Saturday morning to think back and contact Police Scotland on 101 if they saw anything unusual or suspicious in the area.
