INJURED WALKER RESCUED FROM CARSLUITH COASTLINE

Just before midnight on Saturday 23rd July,  a multi agency rescue was initiated by the Scottish Ambulance Service involving Galloway Mountain Rescue team, Dumfries Galloway Police Division, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and HM Coastguard (Isle of Whithorn and Kirkcudbright) to an injured walker on the shore front by Carsluith. Also in attendance was Rescue 136 Helicopter (from North Wales) who airlifted the casualty after being assessed and packaged by Ambulance Service, MRT, and HM Coastguard personnel.

The casualty was then dropped off to an awaiting land ambulance at Creetown Football pitch for further assessment and transport to hospital.
