Integration Joint Board to meet in Dumfries

ITEMS including the draft Primary Care Improvement Plan for Dumfries and Galloway are set to be discussed at the Integration Joint Board meeting in Dumfries this week.

The Integration Joint Board, or IJB, now has responsibility for the vast majority of health services and social care services within Dumfries and Galloway – delivered through Dumfries and Galloway Health and Social Care Partnership.

And the membership of the IJB includes representatives of partner organisations NHS Dumfries and Galloway, Dumfries and Galloway Council and the third and independent sectors.

The latest meeting takes place this Thursday July 26 at the Lecture Theatre, Cargen Towers, Garroch Business Park, Dumfries, at 10 am, with an opportunity for the public to view proceedings.

Items on the agenda also include the Mental Welfare Commission Report on People with Dementia in Community Hospitals, Scotland’s Digital Health and Care Strategy and Mental Health Services and the Role of the Third, Independent and Community Sector.
