JEWELLERY STOLEN IN HOUSE RAID – MOFFAT

Break-in – Moffat

Police Scotland is investigating a break -in at a house in Old Well Road in Moffat sometime between Sunday 10 and Saturday 16 January 2016. At this stage is appears that jewellery including gold chains, an engagement and wedding ring and a broach have been stolen in the raid.

Constable Gary Gillan at Moffat said “the house in question was not occupied when the break-in happened. The value of the stolen items is not known at this time. Some of the items were antique and were of great sentimental value. We ask anyone in the area to get in touch with us through the 101 number if they can help in any way with this crime. We are keen to hear of any suspicious activity in the Moffat area over this period. Again, no matter how small the piece of information might seem, it may just be the missing piece which helps us solve this crime.”
