Morag McKie aged 25 from Kirkcowan is going to be taking part in Kirkcudbrightshire’s Galloway ReCycle Sportive event this Saturday (13th of August). The event will see Morag cycling a 30 mile route in the area to raise money for Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland.
A charity that remains deeply important to Morag and her family and friends. The charity aims to ‘improve the quality of life for people in Scotland affected by chest, heart and stroke illness, through medical research, influencing public policy, advice and information and support in the community’.
Morag told DGWGO:
‘I am overwhelmed with the support that has been shown to me. I discovered the Galloway ReCycle Sportive event last Saturday, so to have already raised over £200 for Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland is amazing! I am extremely excited to participate in the cycle event and it is a privilege to support such a fantastic charity’.
