In a statement released earlier this week, the committee from Kirkcudbright Cornets Club announced that the 2021 event would not be going ahead this year.
The Statement said “Unfortunately, due to the ongoing Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic the executive committee of the Kirkcudbright Cornets Club has regrettably had to make the decision to cancel all events relating to the Kirkcudbright Riding of the Marches 2021.
This decision was not taken lightly, however concerns over public health and the committee’s ability to effectively organise the associated events in these testing times has meant this was the only viable option for the second year running.
On behalf of the committee, we would like to thank you for your understanding. We look forward to welcoming you to the Kirkcudbright Riding of the Marches in 2022.
Please also note there will be no annual general meeting (AGM) held in 2021.”
