Kirkcudbright RNLI Tows Broken Down Yacht To Safety

The Kirkcudbright RNLI Boat ‘Sheila Stenhouse’ and her volunteer crew were paged by the Coastguard on Saturday 13 May at 10.11 am to a report of a broken down yacht “Roseland” with two persons on board in the Kirkcudbright bay area.

When the charitys Atlantic 85 lifeboat arrived on scene “Roseland” was sitting at anchor. The RNLI volunteers towed the broken down yacht safely into Kirkcudbright Harbour.

Both persons on board were fine and well and no medical assistance was required

The lifeboat was shortly stood down and returned to station where she was made ready for service again.
