It’s Aloha but Goodbye at Kirkcudbright Rotary President Handover

The spirit of Hawaii was brought to this year’s Handover BBQ to  welcome Kirkcudbright Rotary Clubs new president for 2018-19, Gordon Cowan.

Our outgoing Club President, Paul Tebay, ensured he went out in style by bringing along his own musical ensemble from Kirkcudbright Academy, namely Euan Donald playing the bagpipes and Ben Garside playing the keyboard.

Paul gave a brief but very impressive outline of the Club’s achievements during his year in office. In particular he highlighted and thanked the Club Treasurer, John Dinning and the Club Secretary, Gavin Scott, for their sterling work throughout the year.

President Gordon then addressed and delighted the gathering in his very own inimitable way. Expressing his hopes to be able to build on the much deserved reputation the Club has in our Town.

A warm summer evening and a delicious Selkirk BBQ made for a most  enjoyable evening.
