Following a number of housebreakings and thefts that occurred in the Lockerbie area over the last few weeks, Police Scotland have announced they have arrested and charged a local man in connection with these crimes.
Inspector Tom Findlay based at Lockerbie said “Following information being received, extensive enquiries were carried out over the weekend by local officers from Lockerbie and Annan. As a result of this work and the assistance provided by the public I am pleased to report that a large amount of stolen property has been recovered and a local man is now the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.
We are continuing with our enquiries and would ask members of the public to report any and all suspicious activity, their assistance in this case has once again been invaluable”.
