Fatal fire – Dumfries
At around 0744 this morning (Thursday 22 October 2015) emergency services were called to a house fire in Dalswinton Avenue in Dumfries. 65 year old Michael Farry who lived alone in the first floor flat was removed by Fire and Rescue Service fire-fighters however he was declared dead at the scene.
The fire was extinguished and a joint fire investigation is being arranged. The Procurator Fiscal has been informed.
