100 METRE EXCLUSION ZONE PUT IN PLACE AS MAN FOUND DEAD – TERREGLES, DUMFRIES

POLICE Scotland reported earlier today Friday the 30th of March 2018, at around 12.00pm that they were dealing with an incident near Terregles village were a man had been reported to be unconscious at a farm cottage near the Old Glen, Terregles, Dumfries. A number of road closures were put in place.

Emergency services attended and discovered the body of a man within. His death is currently being treated as unexplained. In addition, they came across a chemical spillage on the floor of the cottage.

Enquiries are underway to establish the nature of the substance and an exclusion zone of 100 metres has been put in place as a precaution.

A number of roads have been closed off between Terregles Village and the Old Glen Road to allow emergency vehicles access to the location.

Police request that people currently avoid the area.
