MAN LEFT SCARED FOR LIFE AFTER ASSAULT – CASTLE DOUGLAS

POLICE SCOTLAND are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted outside Monty’s Bar, St Andrews Street, Castle Douglas, around 10 pm on Saturday 22nd February.

The man was assaulted by a male who attacked him from behind outside the bar, using a blunt object.

The male responsible had been the front seat passenger in a grey car, similar to a Peugeot or Corsa. The male returned to the car after carrying out the assault and the car drove off.

The man was injured and will have permanent scarring as a result of being assaulted.

The male responsible is described as:- White male, approx. early 20’s, short dark hair, light stubble.
