A NEW health centre is set to open in Annan next week, on Monday 7 June 2021.
The new Annan Health Centre is located on the Annan Hospital site and brings services such as Community Mental Health, Podiatry, Midwifery, Health Visiting, Bladder and Bowel Health and Macmillan Cancer Support together under one roof.
Services previously provided at the Old Annan Clinic in Charles Street have all transferred to the new health centre.
Building work on the new Health Centre has been completed and will provide modern, comfortable, clinically effective and technology enabled accommodation for staff and patients.
Gary Sheehan, the Locality General Manager for Health and Social Care, said: “The new premises will further strengthen our commitment to deliver excellent, person-centred community health and social care in an integrated way.
“Local people will be able to access a range of services at the Health Centre and the new accommodation will help foster much closer working between the different services and teams.
“Despite the pressures of COVID over the last 12 months, we are pleased to open a new Health Centre in Annan that is both fit for purpose and has a welcoming and comfortable environment.”
The building will also have rooms available to book that can be used by other partner organisations and groups.
There will also be ample parking as well as easy access to the local Annan Town bus service.
Any enquiries on the new building or services provided can be made to Annan Clinic on Annan (01461) 202017.
