Police Appeal For Witnesses After 34 Year Old Man Dies In A709 Collision

POLICE SCOTLAND are appealing for information following a fatal road crash on the A709 Dumfries to Lockerbie road, near to Dryfesdale Cemetery, Lockerbie that occurred at around 3.40am on Sunday, 3 April, and involved a black coloured Vauxhall Corsa.
The driver, a 34-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed while officers carried out collision investigation work and re-opened around 11.20am.
Sergeant David Kerr said: “Our thoughts are very much with the family of the man who died and we are appealing for information to assist with our enquiries.
“We are asking anyone who may have seen what happened or has dash-cam footage that could help with our investigation to please get in touch.
