Police Scotland officers are investigating a break-in to The Cross Keys Hotel in Canonbie which happened sometime between 0150 hours and 0220 hours on Monday 4 July 2016. The gaming machines in the bar of the premises were targeted and broken into although it is not yet known how much cash was taken.
Constable Richard Davidson said “we want to hear from anyone who was in or around the Cross Keys on Sunday to get in touch if can remember seeing or hearing anything suspicious. We are carrying out door to door and other enquiries in the village and ask that anyone who can help with any information to get in touch through 101.”
