POLICE INVESTIGATE SPATE OF BREAK-INS – ANNAN

Police in Annan are investigating a break-in and an attempted break-in to house in the town.  On Friday 26 August 2016 a house in Kimmeter Wynd in the town was broken into sometime between 0830 hours and 1330 hours.  An Acer laptop computer and an Apple I-Pad were stolen.  The value of the property is nearly £1000.

Constable Susan Kerr at Annan said “this was a break-in broad daylights at a house in a residential area in Annan.  We want to hear from anyone who may have been about the Kimmeter area on Friday to get in touch if they saw or heard anything suspicious.  callers can contact police at Annan on the 101 number.

In another incident, a house in North Street in the town was the subject of an attempted break-in at around 0024 hours on Saturday 27 August 2016.  Entry was not gained to the property and it may be that those responsible were disturbed by the activation of an alarm.

Constable Stewart Hunter at Annan said “we would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the North Street area just after midnight on Saturday 27 August 2016.  Anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious should call us on the 101 number.”
