Police have been investigating the theft of a mural from the entrance of Castledykes Park in Dumfries sometime over the past two weeks. The mural is the property of the Peoples Project and is valued at about £500. It is approximately 8’ x 4’ and depicts a knight on a white horse at the battle of Caerlaverock. as it turns out the police announced on their social media pages today that it was a False alarm with the mural story. The mural had been removed for repair. No theft.
