Police officers are investigating a break-in to a house near to Caerlaverock Castle, Dumfries, which happened sometime between 0830 hours and 1715 hours on Wednesday 16 November 2016. At this stage it appears that nothing has been stolen however the house was well searched through.
Constable Alison Blacklock at Dumfries said “This is a crime which seems to have happened in broad daylight and we are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the Caerlaverock Castle area during Wednesday and ask that they get in touch if they saw anything suspicious. In particular we are keen to hear about any vehicles which might have been on the road to the castle that day. Callers can get in touch through the 101 number.”
