Region Is The Star Attraction For New Employees

NHS Dumfries and Galloway are delighted to be able to share fantastic footage of the region as they campaign to recruit staff to come and work within the health and social care partnership.

Due to its rural location it can be particularly hard to recruit highly qualified and experienced professionals not only within NHS but across all of health and social care.

The footage shows the fantastic scenery and some of the activities that are on offer to individuals and those with families who may be considering taking up a new opportunity within health and social care in our region.

Local company Scarlett Visuals are supporting efforts to recruit to the region by making their footage available to use alongside a range of post advertisements after seeing a social media advert for a GP practice in the west of the region.

Vic McDade, Workforce and Sustainability Manager for NHS D&G said:Those of us already working within health and social care in Dumfries and Galloway know the benefits of living and working in this region, but often getting that message across to attract people who have never been to this part of the UK, or are not familiar with it, is not as easy as you may anticipate.
“As part of our advertising strategy to fill posts we are using individual staff member and team stories, along with photos and videos of the region to go with the post advert, and so having access to this excellent footage to showcase the region is a real boost to our teams who work in recruitment and the organisation overall.
“We are delighted to be in a position to use this local company’s material.  We are enthused by and grateful for their support with our search for the ideal candidates to work with us at NHS D&G and across the health and social care partnership.”

If anyone in our community would like to share photos of them and their families at work or play in the region to be used as part of our recruitment campaign please send to [email protected]
