D&G Rheumatoid/Inflammatory Arthritis NRAS Group To Be Launched

The Dumfries and Galloway Rheumatoid Inflammatory Arthritis NRAS Group will be launched at a meeting on 24th August, with the support of the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society and NHS Dumfries and Galloway’s rheumatology team. The meeting is open to anyone living with Rheumatoid or Inflammatory Arthritis as well as their family members, carers and health professionals. This is a free event and everyone is welcome to attend, you do not need to be a member of NRAS.

NRAS is encouraging people with Rheumatoid or Inflammatory Arthritis living in the area to attend this meeting and find out more about their disease, local rheumatology services and the invaluable resources on offer from NRAS. Dr McMahon, Consultant Physician/Rheumatologist from NHS Dumfries and Galloway will give a key note talk and there will be an interactive question and answer session offering attendees the opportunity to ask questions of the expert health care professional panel. Following this event, we are hoping there will be regular NRAS group meetings. This local group will offer mutual support, information, and the opportunity to contribute to the development of long term patient care within your local NHS and have regular interaction with your health care professionals.

You are invited to the NRAS & NHS Dumfries & Galloway Rheumatoid/Inflammatory Arthritis information evening on Thursday 24th August 2017 from 6:30pm – 8:00pm, taking place in: The Lecture Theatre, Education Centre (lower ground floor) at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, Bankend Road, Dumfries DG1 4AP (the education centre is located within the main hospital building on the lower ground floor (turn left as you come out of the lift).
