Hundreds of pupils from across Dumfries and Galloway are awaiting today’s post,Tuesday 9 August 2016,  to receive their Scottish Qualifications Certificate (SQC)

Councillor Jeff Leaver, chairman of the Children, Young People and Lifelong Learning Committee, said, “Providing the best start in life for all our children is a priority for our Council. I’m delighted with the excellent overall performance in terms of exam results in our region. This is due to hard work on behalf of pupils and staff and the vital support of parents and guardians. It is important to remember, however, that some may not quite have got the results they hoped for. For pupils in this situation there is support in place, with staff available with help to explore available options.”

A telephone service (SQA Candidate Advice Line) will be available from Tuesday 9 to Friday 12 August 2016. The phone number is on the letter that accompanies each Scottish Qualifications Certificate (SQC).
