Thefts from cars – Annan

Police Scotland officers in Annan are warning the public to ensure vehicles are locked up at night and any valuables left in them are placed out of sight after a number of cars were entered into in the town overnight Monday 3/Tuesday 4 July 2017. A black coloured Peugeot 308 car which was parked in Springbells Road was entered and some costume jewellery and a bank card stolen. A blue coloured Audi A4 car which was parked in Guysgill was entered and a Tom Tom sat nav stolen. A black coloured VW Golf car parked in Kennels Road was entered and two sat navs stolen.

Constable Andy Aitken at Annan said “clearly someone is sneaking about the town through the night and stealing from cars that are not secure. We urge anyone leaving their car to ensure that it is locked up and any valuables are either removed or placed out of sight in the vehicle. Anyone who has any information about these thefts, the value of which is mounting and well into the hundreds of pounds now, to get I touch with us at Annan on the 101 number.”
