Overnight the battle for the U.S.A presidency has been fought, the winner being announced in the last few minutes as the American businessman a reality TV star Donald Trump.
In what has been described as one of the most historical elections in the United States the country now has a new president. In a tight fought battle after one of the countries strongest a dirtiest campaigns ‘Hilary Clinton’ was beaten by 276 to 218 seats with still a few results left to come in.
Vice president-elect Mike Pence has just stated to the world “America has elected a new president and its almost hard for me to express the honour that me and my family feel that we will have the privilege to serve as the Vice President of the United States of America.”.
Accompanied by his family Donald took to the stage in Manhattan and spoke publicly, he stated ” Hillary Clinton has worked very hard over a very long period of time, and we owe her a major debt of gratitude for her service to this country,” He went on to say “Now it is time for America to bind the wounds of division.”
“I pledge to every citizen of our land that I will be president for every American. And that is very important to me.”
Only time will tell how relationships, with the rest of the world, will develop for Mr Trump and the U.S.A.
