Trust Housing Association have been crowned winners of the Excellence in the Third Sector category (over 250 employees) at the annual Investors in People Awards 2016, the leading industry event recognising high performance in people management, the association have sheltered and general needs properties in six different locations across Dumfries and Galloway, Thornhill, Glenluce, Langholm, Dumfries, Stranraer and Newton Stewart. The majority of this housing is designed with the over 50’s in mind. All but one of their developments have a staff member onsite for peace of mind and to support tenants. Their developments have a friendly, family environment and some have very active social scenes.
The Awards, which received over 300 entries from organisations working in a variety of sectors and locations across the globe, celebrate the best people management practices amongst businesses. The Excellence in the Third Sector category recognises organisations that are committed to sharing best practice and continually striving to improve.
At the 1920’s themed ceremony held in London on 29th June, Trust was also presented with an award recognising over 15 years continuous accreditation as an Investors in People organisation.
