WATER WATER EVERYWHERE FOR KIPPFORD RNLI FUNDRAISERS

The H2Only Challenge is to drink nothing but water for two weeks from the 27th May to the 10th June, to raise money for the RNLI. The Challenge is organised by the RNLI and is a national event, with people taking apart from all over the country – both the public and RNLI volunteers.

Three of the Team  at Kippford RNLI have decided to take on the Challenge;Ross Kennedy , Carol-Ann Brown, and Simon Munro. Carol-Ann and Ross are both on the Kippford Lifeboat Crew and Simon is a retired Lifeboat Crew Member, however, still a very active Shore Crew Member and DLA (Deputy Launching Authority).

They decided to set themselves  the target of raising enough money to buy a lifejacket for a crew member, which costs £330.00. They have been so pleased with the support so far   received and now  plan to add on other items of crew clothing to the target, such as a drysuit and a helmet.

Ross’s biggest struggle will be giving up Irn Bru, and Simon’s will be the morning coffee. Carol-Ann will be having a water-only birthday.
Prana Hair and Beauty in Castle Douglas have donated 45 bottles of water to help get us started.

Donations are currently sitting at £285.00 and donations can be made online on our Just Giving page – http://bit.ly/1nw4edO
