“Local policing is central to Police Scotland and as such officers in Dumfries and Galloway would like to know what issues the community think we should prioritise, both locally and nationally,” explains Chief Inspector Nicola Robison at Dumfries.
“Views of our local community are important to us and we are committed to using this information to shape our policing priorities – both locally in Dumfries and Galloway, and nationally, across Scotland. Analysing the feedback obtained through the survey, and looking at data from a number of other important sources such as local and national crime trends will allow us to set policing priorities.
“We would encourage the public to visit our website: https://www.scotland.police.uk/your-community for further information on policing in their local area. To access the online survey they should go to https://consult.scotland.police.uk/your-police/consultation Any personal information will be anonymised and nobody will be identified. The survey runs until 31 December 2019.
“This is an important route for the public to communicate with us and we want to listen and understand the views and opinions of diverse communities to ensure we get our priorities right for the people we serve.”
