Comedy Farmer Jim Smith Is Bringing His Brand New Show To Dumfries In July

Following on from the success of his total sell out tour in 2019, Perthshire farmer and comedian Jim Smith is coming back to the oldest working theatre in Scotland, Theatre Royal, Dumfries with his brand new show in July and tickets go on sale on Monday 14th February.

Jim will don his checked shirt once again for 3 shows in Dumfries as he tours the country telling tales of Scottish rural life.  With his trademark mix of regional accents and impressions, Jim shares anecdotes from his changing world which has seen him get engaged, become a first time father and continue farming through Covid and Brexit.  Whether you live out in the sticks or embrace city life, there will be something for everyone!

Jim has kept busy since the last tour. He remains a regular feature on BBC Radio Scotland’s Breaking The News, broadcast a pilot of The Farm for BBC Scotland and his 2019 stand up show was filmed and broadcast on BBC Scotland at Hogmanay.  Jim also recorded a series of interviews with the Scottish political party leaders for The Courier and had a monologue featured on Radio 4’s United Kingdoms.
