On Saturday 31st October, a charity ball like no other comes to Easterbrook Hall! The Monsters Ball is an evening of ‘fiendish’ fun and ‘spooktacular’ Halloween entertainment to raise funds for the stellar work of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Halloween crazy organisers Emma and Rachael have joined together to bring you a unique night of monstrous mayhem and fundraising in support of the charity. There will be a live auction and raffle with lots of ‘fangtastic’ goodies up for grabs – the support of local businesses for the event has been amazing and they have donated very generously to support the charitable cause that this event is in aid of. There will also be several special ‘themed’ auction lots and raffle prizes, in keeping with the Halloween horror theme, such as tickets for the new Vampires Rock: Ghost Train show, a voucher for the Edinburgh Dungeon, and for fans of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, there will be a special collection of Rocky Horror goodies and memorabilia to bid on in the auction!
Emma and Rachael are themselves Rocky Horror superfans, and they will be treating guests to their very own Rocky Horror Tribute cabaret where they will be donning their corsets and fishnet stockings to perform the famous ‘Floorshow’! Not to be missed!!
Guest medium Laura Montgomery will be also be at the event offering mini tarot readings, along with some stalls showcasing local handicrafts. A disco will provide music throughout the evening, and there will be a frighteningly delicious finger buffet and some special ‘Creepy Cocktails’ available at the bar!
Fancy dress is optional, but guests are of course encouraged to join in the Halloween fun by coming in costume, and there will be a photobooth to capture you at your ghoulish best! You may even find yourself selected as nominees in the Fancy Dress Competition, where prizes will be awarded for the categories of Scariest Costume, Funniest Costume, Sexiest Costume (open to female and male!) and overall Best Costume!
