Tripping the Light Fantastic at Threave Garden

Anyone who fancies following in the footsteps of Ed Balls can take to the dancefloor at the National Trust for Scotland’s Threave Garden on 13 November.

The Terrace Café is the venue for ‘Not So Strictly’, a fun dance event with music provided by Café Largo, whose big band sound will be sure to get the toes tapping. The set list includes foxtrots, salsa, jive and boogie.

The afternoon event runs from 1.30 – 4.30pm and there will be refreshments provided, including Threave’s famous scones. With views out over the beautiful garden, it will be a fun experience set against the backdrop of one of Scotland’s fine heritage gardens which the National Trust for Scotland conserves and promotes.

Tickets cost £8.50 and advance booking is strongly recommended – call 01556 502575.

Threave’s wonderful garden showcases different styles and is a fine example of landscaped beauty. Wander among the rockery, uncover the secret garden and take in the soothing sound of water sculptures.

The wider estate caters for a more adventurous taste and includes our flagship bat reserve. Take a trail to spot these rare, beautiful creatures in their natural habitat. Guided tours can be booked in advance and make sure to save time for some freshly baked treats in the main Terrace Cafe or more intimate and quirky Stables Café.
