Schoolchildren, residents, book shop owners and Wigtown Festival Company staff got together last week to celebrate World Book Day.
Many dressed as their favourite fictional characters. They met in the heart of Scotland’s National Book Town and were joined by BigWig, the loveable mascot of the Wigtown Book Festival’s children’s literature events.
