Wigtownshire Writer Hazel Stevens Launches Her Children’s Book

Hazel Stevens, born in North Yorkshire, now lives with her husband Andrew near the Book Town of Scotland – Wigtown, Dumfries and Galloway.

She enjoys the peace and quiet of this beautiful area of the UK, which enables her to focus on her writing. Following the success of her début novel ‘Our Ede’. Hazel’s first children’s book ‘Poppy Wants To Bake A Cake’ has just been published.

 Hazel will be launching her book during the Wigtown Literary Summerfest on Saturday July 29th 2pm @ Craft Hotel South Main Street Wigtown.

 Poppy is a rag doll and the book follows her adventures when left ‘Home Alone’ by her owner Lucy, until Tom, the family cat, makes his appearance.

 The book is illustrated by up and coming young artist Roberto Minguzzi.

 This is an event for all the family, the children will love to hear Hazel reading the story and meet the characters from her first book about the adventures of Poppy the rag doll.
