Management at Browns Manufacturing site in Kelloholm have issued an updated statement after they identified 3 COVID cases out of over 600 employees earlier in the month.
In The statement they said “Following the identification of 3 positive cases over a two week period we took the precautionary decision to test all staff on site over Thursday and Friday last week.
We monitored results over the weekend and on Monday afternoon Public Health Scotland concluded that the small number of positive results identified were the result of community based transmission and not site transmission.
Since then we have had no further positive cases but as a site we remain vigilant as this virus is still present all around us.
This was once again a great team effort by the Browns team and I would like once again to thank all staff for their care in ensuring we all remain safe as we help feed the nation.”
