Please Support Your Local Pubs, Hotel Bars & Clubs When They Reopen

Do you enjoy a pint and catching up with friends? Members of the Ayrshire & Wigtownshire branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) certainly do and they are encouraging people to support their local pubs, bars and clubs when they reopen, if they feel safe to do so.

CAMRA is the biggest independent voluntary consumer organisation in the UK, whose vision is to have quality real ale, cider & perry within thriving pubs, bars and clubs in every community, and it is also celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year.

The local Ayrshire & Wigtownshire branch has more than 550 members, with four social group areas – North Ayrshire, South Ayrshire, East Ayrshire and Wigtownshire – each of whom organise regular events and meetings to support their local pubs, bars and clubs. Covid-19 restrictions have prevented physical events being held recently, but we hope to resume activities once the restrictions are eased sufficiently.

During the lockdown, the Ayrshire & Wigtownshire CAMRA branch has been liaising with local pubs, bars and clubs to keep up to date with their plans and their latest opening status can be found at whatpub.com – a free website run by CAMRA covering pubs around the country.
