Drumlanrig Castle Gardens & Adventure Playground Extends Opening Dates to Delight Visitors

Drumlanrig Castle, renowned for its picturesque gardens and thrilling adventure playground, is excited to announce an extension of its opening dates, providing visitors with the opportunity to experience the beauty and excitement for even longer in 2024.

From 1 March, Drumlanrig Castle Gardens will welcome guests beyond the traditional seasonal schedule until the end of October, allowing both local visitors and tourists from further afield to enjoy the stunning landscapes and horticultural wonders throughout the seasons. Claire Oram, Castle Manager says “The extension of opening dates reflects our commitment to providing an immersive and captivating experience for visitors, showcasing the unique charm of Drumlanrig Castle Gardens throughout the full growing season.”

In addition to the extended opening dates for the gardens, the adventure playground will also be accessible from March to the end of October, offering families a perfect day out with its zip wires, tall tunnel slides and climbing nets.

Visitors can now plan visits at their convenience, between 9.30am to 4.30pm, giving them ample opportunity to explore the 40 acres of historic gardens, and let little ones have fun in the adventure playground. The Larchwood Cabin Cafe will open from 10am daily, with a dog friendly seating area available, providing delicious hot drinks, home baking and light lunches.

Following the success of the Snowdrop event last year, the Gardens will also open for one weekend to celebrate Snowdrops on the 24th and 25th February, 11am-3pm.

To help visitors to make the most of the extended opening dates, a new Annual Pass has been launched giving unlimited access to the gardens and adventure playground from 1st March to the end of October for one fixed amount.
