It’s All Go For The Brand New Ekarts At Cream O’ Galloway

THE TEAM at Cream o’ Galloway Visitors centre near Gatehouse of Fleet, Dumfries and Galloway are very excited to reveal their brand new high speed and environmentally friendly Ekarts.

Cream O’ Galloway Website

A Spokesperson from Cream o’ Galloway told DGWGO “Here at Cream o’ Galloway and Finlay’s Farm we try to be as ethical and environmentally friendly as possible, using green energy, recycling and reusing wherever possible.  At Finlay’s Farm, they practice sustainable and regenerative farming.  Their anaerobic digester converts methane from the cow poo into hot water and they run a pioneering cow with calf commercial dairying system.
So when it comes to choosing our new attraction it had to fit the bill.
We tested loads of different types of Electric karts and quads and one came out on top after rigorous testing! David and Wilma both had great fun testing them all out, but the real challenge came when our staff and kids on the farm tried them all out.  We only had one minor mishap.  No-one hurt, but spare parts were needed!
Our new Ekarts are battery operated motorised go-karts! They are safe, clean-no oily parts, green – no emissions and no fumes! And they whizz along at an impressive top speed of 16km/hr which feels much faster when you are so low to the ground!”

Wilma Finaly said ” You will be able to take part in the fun if you are aged 6-15.   We have a beginners’ track, Electric Brae, for those aged 6 and over while the main track, Strand Hatch, is suitable for those aged between 9 – 15.  We have a maximum weight limit of 12 stone/75kg.

In the future we hope to develop a challenge course for the more experienced drivers!”

The cost to take part will be £8 for 15 mins on Electric Brae and £10 for 15 mins on Strand Hatch.
