Moffat Couple Lee & Claire Prentice Are On A Mission To Support The Health Of The Region

Lee, a Personal Trainer and Claire, a Nurse have seen first hand the impact that nutrition has on the health, fitness and wellbeing of so many clients by guiding them to a more balanced way of living.

Their business – The Dietarian – delivers freshly, home cooked, calorie counted meals to the homes of clients following the 5:2 diet.

The 5:2 diet is currently the most popular Intermittent Fasting (IF) diet. IF became popular when journalist Doctor Michael Mosley trialled it back in 2012 and subsequently created the ‘5:2 diet.’ So called because five days of the week are ‘normal’ eating days while the other two restrict calories to 800 per day.

People report great success with this way of eating as it follows the principles of a healthy balanced diet without restricting food groups. By reducing calorie intake for two days each week it can lead to reductions in body fat, insulin resistance and other chronic diseases.
