Dumfries & Galloway Multicultural Group Set To Celebrate First Day Of Spring

On Wednesday, 20th March, starting at 6:30 pm, there will be a celebration of Naw Ruz at the Dumfries & Galloway Multicultural Centre (DGMA) in the former Debenhams building on High Street, Dumfries. (Arrivals start from 6pm onwards). 

Naw Ruz is the traditional New Year in many cultures, including Persian, Turkish, Afghan and Kurdish. It takes place on the vernal equinox (the first day of spring) and marks the beginning of new growth and life.

This event will include delicious food from several cultures and contribution from young people with peace and unity songs.
