TEAM DGWGO VISIT KIRKCUDBRIGHT GARDEN AND COUNTRY FAIR 2014

1 a 1 a country fair 1Team DGWGO headed off to the wonderful Kirkcudbright Garden and Country fair Today , Saturday July the 12th . Even though the weekends weather forecast was not looking great for the day and lots of other regional events had been called off , the Kirkcudbright Summer festivities team bravely went ahead with this flagship event of the Kircudbright Summer Festivities , and to the joy of the hundred’s of folk that turned up the weather ended up being very kind , and only raining towards the end of the days fun ! And with bright sunshine forecast for Sunday the 13th ( tomorrow) it looks like Sunday could be an even better chance to enjoy all the fun and amazing entertainment on offer for the tiny £4.00 for adults and £3.00 for children entry fee !

The Entertainment at the fair was top class with acts like the ‘Clan Scotland’s Cycle Stunt team ‘ and ‘‘Birds of Prey Display’ and Steam engines of all sizes plus a mini Steam railway running along the old Kirkcudbright train line from the ‘Scottish Steam Traction Engine Society’ , Childrens entertainers like Davie Bubbles , a giant craft fair , art displays , a farmers market ( we bought loads , and i must give a huge thanks to Annes Delicious Bakes for letting me sample their wonderful Chocolate orange cake 🙂 ) , and live cooking demonstrations , Giant kites, Vintage tractors , A Sulwath brewery Beer tent , clay pigeon Shooting , Archery , Kirkcudbright Scottish dancers , Flower and plant stalls , Music , Face painting , Dogs of all shapes and size’s , the Samba Sisters , Laggan outdoors Segways to have a go on  to name just a few . There really is something for everyone to see do and enjoy .

R.B took over 1000 photos , but here are just a small selection and a couple of wee Videos that he took today , to give you a wee taste of what is becoming one of the regions top summer events , and one that the Herald has listed as number 3 in the Top 10 things to do in Scotland this weekend , here is the link to read more http://www.heraldscotland.com/life-style/outdoorsleisure/10-things-to-do-across-scotland-this-weekend.1404961204

A Massive congratulations must go to Gavin brown from Kirkcudbright Summer festivities and all his team , plus every other single person that gets behind and helps events like this happen for the whole community and visitors to the region to enjoy !
