It’s hard to believe that a year has passed since last year’s Spring Kist. Wigtown Festival Company would like to welcome you to this year’s event taking place during Wigtown Spring Book Weekend.
A Kist is a traditional wooden chest for storing treasures, and The Spring Kist offers the perfect opportunity to find those treasures. Taking place on Saturday 30 April and Sunday 1 May in the County Buildings, Wigtown from 10am – 4pm, there will be 25 unique and distinctive stalls to browse over the two days and we are delighted that 8 of the exhibitors are new to The Kist. Producers and artisans will showcase the best of the area’s art, craft, food and drink – the event having attracted stallholders from across Dumfries and Galloway and Ayrshire. Organisers are thrilled to present such an array of diverse and high quality stalls and promise you a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. With treasures ranging from soft furnishings to soap, pet portraits to pottery and jewellery to jam, we promise you won’t leave empty handed. Visitors will also have the opportunity to win a £50 cash prize in our Lucky Squares Competition.
The Spring Tearoom, organised by a team of superb volunteers, opens in the Supper Room for you to admire your purchases over a morning coffee, light lunch or afternoon tea.
Wigtown Spring Book Weekend offers a first-class programme of events taking place in Wigtown from Friday 29 April – Sunday 1 May. For full programme details, please visit www.wigtown-booktown.co.uk. The next Kist event will take place during this year’s Wigtown Book Festival (23 September – 2 October).
