Counting Down To Scotland’s Beef Event

As the sun shines the marquees are being erected, trade stand spaces are being marked out and the countdown is on to Scotland’s Beef Event at Dalswinton Estate, Dumfries and Galloway, on Tuesday, 6 June.

The 5000-acre estate owned by Peter Landale and family is set to host Scotland’s Beef Event which will be officially opened by Fergus Ewing, former Cabinet Secretary for Rural Economy, and welcome around 3000 attendees to the Nith Valley.

Taking place from 9am, one of the highlights of the day will be the three Thought Leadership seminars featuring industry experts discussing future farm support as well as sustainable farming, while the Galbraith-sponsored Speakers Corner will give further insight into the beef industry.

The event will welcome 18 cattle breed societies as well as more than 100 trade stands, so there will be something to see for everyone. The farm tours showcasing the 550-head suckler herd are expected to be popular as are the demonstrations that will take place throughout the day.

Tickets are available prior to the event via the website, but will also be available on the gate.
