£3000 WORTH OF SHEEP STOLEN – STRANRAER

Police Scotland is appealing for the help of the public in their investigations into the theft of around 40 sheep from a farm at Awhirk, Stranraer. The sheep were stolen from a number of fields around the farm sometime between 30 September and 25 October 2016. The sheep are Texel hogs and have either a red or orange shoulder with white faces. They are valued at around £3000.

Constable Elinor Sneddon at Stranraer said “we want to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area around the B7042 road between Portpatrick and Sandhead over this period, or indeed any other rural location in the Stranraer area. A vehicle must have been used and we are keen to hear about any suspicious vehicle movements over this time.”
