C&D Auction Marts held their fortnightly Sale of 833 Store Cattle  in Dumfries including Annual October  Sale of Organic Cattle.

227 Organic Cattle – A good ringside of buyers in attendance with all classes being keenly sought selling to £1690 for a Limousin bullock from JW Gibb, Toftcombs and to 345p/kg for Shorthorn bullocks from Dumfries House Farm. Bullocks averaged  299.6p/kg. Heifers sold to £1680 for Limousin from Toftcombs and to 321p/kg for Angus’s consigned by M. Hamilton, Woolfords.
