C & D Auction Marts Ltd held their fortnightly sale of store cattle in Dumfries.

458 Forward:

Trade upheld recent values as buyers were actively seeking cattle of all classes with grazers meeting the biggest demand.

C & D Auctions held their weekly sale of primestock in Dumfries.

Prime Cattle easily sold to 262p/kg for a Limousin Heifer from J. Jardine, Yett to weekly buyers R Johnstone & Sons Butchers, Annan. Others to 242p/kg from Low Three Mark to W Lindsay Butchers, Creetown.

 

OTM’s again met a competitive trade. All classes selling readily.

Dumfries Auction Market had forward a small show of good working pure Holstein 1st Calvers. A smart looking Heifer doing 31 litres sold to £1790 with plainer sorts selling at a slightly lighter trade and averaging £1655. Many more sought for the next sale on Monday 3rd May at 1.15pm.
