Local Dumfries and Galloway dairy farmer 26 year old Michael Yates of East Logan Farm. . Haugh of Urr, Castle Douglas has won the prestigious award ‘Holstein UK President Medal’ yesterday January the 12th a the the 2016 Semex UK conference held in Glasgow.
Michael was shortlisted for the award along with Andrew Patton (Northern Ireland), Nicola Lockyer (Devon).
