Local Views wanted on Mabie forest

Forest Enterprise Scotland is inviting local people and visitors making use of Mabie Forest to help shape how the popular woodland is managed.
A new Land Management Plan is to be produced which will act as a blueprint for its management for the next 10 years.
A consultation day, where people can talk to the team managing Mabie, is to be held in the forest car park on Wednesday 27th June between 9am-12 noon and 3pm-7pm.
Robin Fuller of Forest Enterprise Scotland said:
We are really keen to know what makes this place so special for people and how visitors plan to use the forest in the future.
“Our new plan will set out how we will look after Mabie for the next decade and beyond. Part of the process will explore the wide range of activities that are undertaken in the forest, ranging from planting and felling to working with nature and the local community.
“We need to get as many views as possible from people and organisations that use Mabie so that we can get the right management balance over the coming years.”
