C & D Auctions held their Spring Sale of 34 Working Collies in conjunction with Moffat Sheepdog Society at Moffat on Saturday 9th March.
The best price of 5900gns (£6195) was attained by ‘Celt’ a 2 ½ year old Dog from George Simpson, Huntly Sired by D W Davies ‘Prince’ and Dam H Hughes ‘Nan’. ‘Celt’ a winner of 2 trials found a new home in Lancashire with repeat buyers M/s Crowther, Upperwood.
Anthony McKeegan, Ballymena then sold ‘Kipp’ at 3500gns (£3675) bred from B McAllister ‘Spot’ with Dam being ‘Meg’ A J McKeegan which headed to Co Antrim with Shannon Conn.
A Late entry from Seamus Gormley, Kilcreen Sheep Dog Centre sold ‘Kilcreen Don’ a 3yo Dog at 3000gns (£3150) to M/s Hickson, Jedburgh.
Stuart Grant, Ullapool paid 2700gns (£2835) for Molly a May ’17 Bitch from A P Mckeever, Martinstown.
