1213 prime lambs sold to average 168.07 (SQQ 170.39), all classes were less on the week and similar to other centres at the start of the week. Lambs scaling 43kgs and over were not the easiest to sell unless they were best bred export lambs which were similar to last week’s trade, topping at 231.6ppk for Beltex from Messrs McCulloch, Glentoo. And top per head was £90 for Beltex lambs from Messrs Sproat, Lennox
Cast sheep were a larger show and sold slightly easier due to an increase in numbers, topping at £127.50 for a pen of Texels from Rascarrel.
