A smaller show of store cattle met another strong trade with heifers selling to £1340 for a Limousin X from Margrie Ltd, Ardwall and to 265.6 ppk for a pen of Limousins from Messrs Bowman, Bagbie. Bullocks sold to £1315 for a pen of Limousins from Messrs Borthwick & Sons, Shangan and 297.6 for a pen of Simmental X from Messrs Hutton & Co, Buittle Mains.
OTM Cattle were dearer again, with cows selling to 189 ppk for an Aberdeen Angus cow from Messrs Graham, Irelandton and to £1419.04 from Messrs Robb, Trolane, for a cow of the same breed. OTM Bullocks sold to 201 ppk for a Galloway bullock from Messrs Crawshaw, Sunnyhill.
474 Store sheep were forward, a marvellous show for the end of March topping at £116 for a great pen of Texel lambs from Barlocco, Auchencairn.
