766 Prime hoggs sold to average 260.2 ppk (SQQ 260.5). A smaller end of season show of hoggs were less on the week with only the best meat cashing in at prices seen recently. These topped at 317.4 pence per kilo for a pen of Beltex from Messrs Ross, Birchwood Way. Top per head was £148.50 for a pen of heavy Texels from the same home.
A similar show of 319 cast ewes were a great trade with Messrs Shedden, Balgerran topping the sale with a Texel ewe at £187. Scotch Mules sold to £117.50 from Messrs Milligan & Son, High Glasnick and again from Galtway Farm, Kirkcudbright. Blackfaces sold to £74.50 from Messrs Ross, Romesbeoch.
